About The Design & Planning of OSP Course:
The City and Guilds 3667-03 Design and Plan for an External Underground Network Cabling Infrastructure is an optional unit that can be done alongside Unit 1.
This unit will provide the candidate with the basic principles needed to plan an underground cable route. Candidate will be able to develop an understanding of how an external, underground, communications infrastructure is specified, planned and provided.
There are five outcomes to this unit:

prepare for and carry out a preliminary site survey for the provision of an external underground telecoms infrastructure

produce preliminary designs for the provision of an external underground communications cabling infrastructure and select the optimum solution

produce a design for the provision of an external underground communications cabling infrastructure
-
produce detailed plans for an external underground communications cabling infrastructure
-
determine the workflow activities for the provision of an external underground communications cabling infrastructure
Once the full course is completed, candidates may progress onto additional modules listed below:
