The C&G 3667 level 2 course formerly C&G 3666 is the starting point for anyone wanting to get into an exciting career in communications. You may already be an engineer but have no formal qualification because you have completed on the job training. More and more companies, councils, universities etc, are asking contractors, engineers and companies for this formal qualification regardless whether you have completed manufacturers training.
This course is the industry standard and is the only course approved by the fibre optic industry association (FIA) and City & Guilds, online training and DVD training cannot replace hands on practical, it has no industry approval.
Here at Total Network Solutions Europe, you will train with qualified instructors that have real world experience, you will also train in a real world environment not just in a class room, our purpose built centre has been design so you gain the maximum benefit from the course. We will train you to do the job, not just gain a qualification. We will provide you with free technical support after the course and as part of our support you will also be able to attend free refresher training.
The skills are highly sought after, and are in high demand. More engineers are going to be required as the country starts to deploy Fibre optic Broadband. Digital Britain needs qualified engineers throughout the country, BT have already started to deploy their new network throughout the UK at present they are deploying fibre to the cabinet (fttc) solution, with the last mile being copper, the work entails upgrading their exchanges to super fibre headends and deploying new street side cabinets, where new multiplexors have been installed to offer customers higher bandwidths.
The C&G 3667 level 2 course formerly C&G 3666 is the industry standard, this is the desired entry standardwithin the industry and is the starting point for all entering the industry.
The course is recomended for Anyone wanting to get into fibre optics and Data cablingthe course is also suitable for :
Throughout this course you will taught by industry leading engineers and consultants, you will learn the correctprocedures for installations, learn to terminate and test you network infracstructure, learn how to correctly readtest results, be able to troubleshoot and rectify faults.
C&G3667 Unit 1
This unit is the core of the C&G 3667-02 formerly C&G 3666 certification and must be completed in addition to the optional units to achieve the full level 2 Certificate in Communications Cabling.
The core unit is designed to give you the basic principles and covers aspects of health and safety, safe working practices, it also provides you with the key concepts of communication systems.
You will study topics like mathematics, basic electronics, communication networks, network topologies, health and safety, Asbestos awareness, manual handling and lifting, wave forms, simplex, duplex communications, serial and paralell communications, ethernet, analouge and digital communications, binary, SI units, DC power, Ohms Law.
C&G3667 Unit 2
The C&G 3667-02 unit 102 formerly C&G 3666-02 102 is concerned with the installation, splicing, termination, connectorisation testing of fibre optic cables, typically a multi-mode fibre network in an internal environment using a variety of methods including, connectors, splice trays and cable within datacommunications networks.
Throughout this module you will train in our purpose built training centre, you will learn installation procedures, splicing, connectorisation using heat cure and cold cure, expoxy and polish, quick/express connectors, termination and testing of fibre optic cables in an internal environment, you will splice in rack enclosures, patch panels, ODF''s, wall mounted enclosures, mainly in datacomms environment, used within office buildings, data centres, industrial and commercial environments, install and terminate OM1, OM2, OM3 fibre optic cables, make patch cords.
